Norman F. Carter

Norman F. Carter, Jr is an architect in private practice in Michigan.
A graduate of Yale University, he has also taught and lectured at a number of universities and has been a recipient of two Fulbright awards. For more than a decade, he has been photographing folk architecture extensively in the Mediterranean, North Africa, and Far East. ITALIAN HILLTOWNS is the first in a new series of books based on that work that documents this rapidly disappearing aspect of world culture.
